Aruvam has a bold story with a good social message. Hats off to the director for the new story instead of the usual romance or love triangle story. Siddharth is smart & given his best acting as a good safety officer. Catherine is acting well as a teacher but the looks of her, when possessed by a spirit, is not scary instead becomes funny. Her facial expressions make her a timid girl who is not scaring us even when possessed by the spirit.
The food adulteration plot is a good story that highlights the current adulteration in society. If the Director has concentrated on strengthening the second half with more logic & good visual effects of the spirit killing the villains & possessing the heroine, the movie would have been a complete hit. Now though it has a good story, good actors’ second half lacks logic & makes the good story a usual predictable one. It can definitely be seen for Siddharth & the good story plot. With good word of mouth, the film got a good opening at the box office, but unfortunately, piracy has impacted the film.
